Orbos, SVD’s books — Just a Moment — he asks a powerful question: “Was there a moment in your life when you experienced God in a very real and personal way?” My answer is a wholehearted yes — not just once, but many times.   I didn’t grow up religious. I wasn’t taught to rely on God’s grace. As a child, life felt messy, hopeless, and out of control. I wanted to grow up fast so I could fix the things I hated most — especially the way we were living. Back then I didn’t know it, but God was already working behind the scenes.   The first time I truly felt His presence was in 2008, when I passed the bar exam. That year, the passing rate was unexpectedly adjusted — something I saw as God’s perfect timing. Honestly, if that didn’t happen, I don’t know how I would have survived it. Bakit Wala Ka Pa Ring Jowa? 5 Possible Reasons Why You're Still Single

  2. Either you’re too good for them, or you’ve set your standards too high. It’s okay to aim high, but love isn’t a checklist—it's about connection.
  3. You’re too serious with work or too focused on family. Love won’t knock if your door is always closed—find balance in work, life, and romance. Pero kung married ka na, magtigil ka—keep your eyes locked on your family!
  4. Your eyes are fixated on your crush, pero masaklap—hindi ka niya crush. Stop chasing the wrong person, and you might find the right one waiting.
  5. It’s not yet the right time—baka hindi pa napapanganak ang The One mo! Love is all about timing. When it's meant to be, it will happen effortlessly.

In the meantime, enjoy life, focus on self-growth, and trust the journey—because being single isn’t a curse, it’s a season of preparation for something better!

After a week of prepping for our kids' quarterly exams ( nothing too hardcore—just enough to keep them ready! ), my husband and I decided it was time for a well-deserved break.
